I am Hannah Quirke. I cook in a kitchen roughly the size of a bathroom, in a flat in Bristol, with one oven that runs twenty degrees hot and a hob with three working rings.
Saltbox started in 2019 as a note to myself, because I kept forgetting what I had changed. It is still mostly that, except now 6,200 people read it on a Friday morning.

Corrections go at the top of the recipe with the date, not quietly into the text.
Readers who want to, at £3 a month, and nothing else. No sponsored recipes, no brand partnerships, no affiliate links to pans I do not own. If that changes, it will say so here first.
All taken on a phone, on the table where the food was eaten, usually in the ninety seconds before it got cold. Nothing is styled and nothing is a stand-in.
If a recipe did not work, tell me what happened and I will tell you why, usually within a couple of days. That is how half the corrections on this site got made.
